Pact for prevention
University signs the Pakt für Prävention—Gemeinsam für ein gesundes Hamburg (Prevention pact: together for a healthy Hamburg)
Initiated by former senator of health Dietrich Wersich, actors in the field of health promotion met in Hamburg in the summer of 2010 to make a pact promoting healthy lifestyles. The alliance set out to jointly develop health-related goals and new activities. Under the motto “Together for a healthy Hamburg,” the partners signed a cooperation agreement. President Dieter Lenzen has also signed this agreement on behalf of Universität Hamburg.
The focus of the pact’s activities is on growing up healthily in Hamburg (PDF), growing old healthily in Hamburg, and living and working healthily in Hamburg. Representatives of the partner organizations are tasked with developing and agreeing on concrete goals where possible and helping to implement them. The main focus will be on health promotion exercises, healthy eating, and psychosocial well-being. Find further details on the kickoff meeting and the cooperation agreement (PDF).
