Maintaining Universität Hamburg’s organizational structure
Universität Hamburg operates a central Master Data Management (MDM) system to record organizational data. From there, information is distributed to linked subsystems (KoPers, IDMS, SAP, staff directory, SharePoint, etc.).
From now on, all changes to the University’s organizational structure must first be reported to the MDM to ensure all current organizational information is stored there.
NB:
- The following reporting procedure for organizational changes affects not only organizational units within the organizational structure (e.g., faculties, departments, central institutions, and administrative divisions), but also professorships.
- Any change to the organizational structure should be announced as early as possible, ideally 3 months in advance, so that it is updated in all systems when the change becomes effective.
