Leadership Coaching
Leaders shape, enable, and advance. They set goals and define a framework. They encourage employees to work independently and successfully. Not least, the context of New Work requires special attention in many places to the needs and requirements of employees on the one hand and the changing possibilities and necessity of work organization and topics on the other.
In order to support you in these tasks in the best possible way, you as a executive in research, technology, administration and libraries at Universität Hamburg can take advantage of a leadership coaching. The coaching is a time-limited support tailored to your individual needs, which is carried out on a confidential basis by external coaches. Coaching focuses on your specific professional situation and aims to increase and maintain your performance even under challenging conditions and gives you room for self-reflection.
Leadership coaching is useful, if you:
- have just taken on a new leadership task,
- would like to reflect on your leadership behavior or the cooperation with your employees,
- want to identify the causes of stress and develop alternative courses of action,
- want to prepare yourself for critical situations such as important decisions or difficult discussions.

Afterwards, we contact you and usually conduct a short initial meeting. In the next step, you will receive two to three profiles from which you can select the right person for your coaching. The date and location for your individual coaching session will be arranged individually with the coach. The duration of the individual sessions varies between 60 and 90 minutes. The coaching is limited to a maximum of 6 hours. The goals and contents of the coaching and the individual sessions are confidential. After the coaching, we ask you for a short written feedback for our quality assurance.
