Electric height-adjustable desk
University of Hamburg employees wishing to order a height-adjustable desk need to submit a medical note (state occupational medical service, AMD certificate). This no longer applies for staff in the University Administration.
Talk to your supervisor to determine the process, and with their consent, send an application for the equipment you need to Department 8 at moeblierung@uni-hamburg.de(moeblierung"AT"uni-hamburg.de:), and provide the following information:
- your supervisor has been informed
- the dimensions of existing desks (length 160/180/200 cm* 80 cm wide) where present
- the exact delivery address and room number
We provide assistance in this exchange not only for University Administration staff, but also for cross-faculty institutes (self-funded).
In the interests of sustainability, ideally, Department 8 will continue to use the existing desk, and will dispose of older model and damaged desks.
Special needs furniture
Do you need an ergonomic desk or office chair?
The application requires a doctor’s recommendation in the form of a certificate indicating the medical necessity and the type of work aid. You do not have to disclose a diagnosis.
Your attending physician can provide the required certificate.
